    The problem is that when youre driving a screw its virtually impossible to not break away the paint on the head exposing bare metal

    Well that exposed metal rusts and that rust runs down and collects on the flat portion just below the top screw hole

    So after a while it appears that the handle is rusting when its just runoff from the screw
