Pros & Cons
Pros
Review my photo. This bad boy is thick and heavy, and it's ready to do some work! The quality and finish is definitely good.
Installed these 3/4 d rings on my 92 xj smittybilt bumpers. Protects your bumper and no rattling. Only downside is there is some surface rust on the pin now.
Cons
The threaded part of the pin is 7/8 in diameter. The pin is not 3/4 inch. The description is incorrect. The chart and pictures should be updated to reflect the actual dimensions.
Paint is poor quality and rusting begins quickly after mounting on your vehicle. Threads are so rough a wrench is needed for most of the unscrewing. Not one part of this product is actually stainless steel.
Highlights
Quality
The coating on it has held up over the years and i have used it on numerous occasions and it has never failed or gotten damaged.
Good quality metal, quality product and perfect for any job
Got the d shackle today, this is a smittybilt product but it is made in china.
Between this ring and the strap, that tree had no hope of staying in place.
Price
I saw a set of 2 shackles same size and collor for the price of this one shackle.
The price is a little on the steep side for the one job i had in mind for, but it ended up being money well spent.
This was an amazon return, so it was a great deal.
Shipping
Arrived on time and in perfect condition.
Packaging/appearance
I love the look of them on my black jeep.
