Pros

Thing is just plain badass! It fit well in the receiver and has an exceptional black powder coating. It fits snugly in my receiver and is solid metal so i'd feel confident recovering with it.

Cons

One received is extremely rough and missing paint. Paint job is lumpy and not 'curve cut' as depicted. Powder coat was scuffed and chipped in one spot.

Buyer beware. More like from harbor freight and not worth $39. Never buying smittybuilt again. It is pointless to buy this item online.

There is a good 1/8 gap between this insert and the receiver body, which makes for a bunch of slop. I am used to my reese ball bracket fitting much more snug. The shackle hits the bumper before the holes line up.

It fits fairley loosely in my 2 receiver. I not not expect it to 'fit like a glove' but this is not even close. I have bike racks, step hitches and trailer hitch attachments and none of them fit as poorly as this.

Which i suppose is not a major issue since i already had a few and they're not terribly expensive.

Arrived clean & without blemish in its own box.

The d-ring is exactly the same as the 3/4 inch ones smittybilt sells, which i've had good luck with.
