Pros
Simply loosen the nut a bit. They work on the jl perfectly. I know that the torque wrench is is calibrated and reasonably accurate.
These are sturdy and look great. They stay in place without issue - note that you can adjust the stiffness of the hinge to your liking. Really sharp looks, sort of easy to install, and enjoying them a lot so far.

Cons
Picture advertised is deceiving. X torx bolts and 8x flat washers were missing. Turn into rusty part.

Quality
Build quality is very nice; these feel very solid underfoot and i have no doubt that they will hold all 350lbs they say they will.
My doors were already off so the install was easy with the use of a breaker bar.
I tried to remove my stock hinge bolts with the little jeep kit at first.
All i can think is that either the called for torque specs are too high or there is a quality control issue with the bolts.
Packaging/appearance
These steps are great for accessing the roof of your jeep when giving it a nice wash and or when removing the hardtop.
Competitiveness
All smittybilt products i have purchased have been top quality.
Had an issue with over-tightening a bolt, emailed customer service, and they immediately sent replacement parts.

After a few weeks and temperature changes i noticed the rubber seals started cracking and eventually crumbled off

To my surprise if you dont have any weight on the door the hinges didnt even budge when i took the screws out

I took the screws out put on the steps and screws and made sure the hinge didnt move at all from unscrewing which it actually looked stuck in place perfectly then screwed in the new screws with the plate
