Very pleased with the initial performance of the winch.
This thing is awesom, works good, lots of power and strength
i don’t know why it has so many bad reviews or problems with the plug in.
Having the remote with the length of cord on it was really nice.
Price
As far as installation goes you have to understand one reason it's got such a low price is it's packaged so one size attempts to fit all.
No way they can please everyone at this price.
Shipping
The winch arrived with minor damage but i believe that it was caused by shipping and not actually a bad product.

Packaging/appearance
Extremely easy to install instructions were straightforward everything worked packaging was really good.
Competitiveness
I had a smittybilt 10k winch on a pickup truck in the 90's then moved it to a jeep in 2009 and it never failed me until.
I mounted on a smittybilt mounting plate which made it very easy to install.
After doing that i called back and they told me they’d email me back with a ticket number.
It’s smittybilt it’s supposed to be good

If you have a 2020 sahara and the barricade bumper you have to mount the solenoid box over the motor cause the wires won’t have enough room and will hit the grill if you use the other two mounting options

Only thing i could find fault with in the instructions was that they should tell you to connect the 2 black wires before mounting the winch to bumper

Easy to install and reliable i’ve used this winch a lot on my jeep from recovery to moving a 2000 pound flat bed around works every time had and issue at first with the control box housing where the remote plugs in broke call smittybilt and they next day shipping sent me a new control box i am actually considering getting another for the 3500 dodge
