Pros
Winch is waterproof which is a big plus over competitors. More compact than the comparable warm winch. Easy to install and looks nice.
The instructions have some important tips that make them important to read. The directions are great. All around great winch.
Cons
The winch itself works, but the quick release tab on the remote jack was broken and i could not remove the remote. Armor is cheap and arrived cracked. This product is made extremely cheap and falsely advertises the weight capacity.

The remote is easy to use, nice features with built in light, magnet mount, and indicators for temperature, load and direction.
Perhaps that is due to the fact that smitty now knows this is a design defect

Msrp was high, hit a sale its worth the $ otherwise at over $680 would have looked at an apex.
Not a bad winch for the money.
Packaging/appearance
I went through the packaging a dozen times looking for them, but they just weren't there.
Speaking of box , it look like someone beat the crap out of my package.
Haven’t used it yet, but looks great!
Competitiveness
Will say minus a point for no stickers in the box, half the reason to buy name brand items.
The xrc logo has been changed out to the sb logo that lights up.
Winch is waterproof which is a big plus over competitors.
I prefer the features, durability and price point over other brands.

So i bought a brand new winch unopened box only to get one with the bolts for the controller missing and worst the center part has a rusted bold and evidence of what looks like a steel cable

Also as shipped the winch drum light is not installed or included the wired remote does have a wide beam led flashlight function which is kind of neat

Problem is the remote would not unplug it was stuck solid

There is a tab you suppose to push to release the remote but of course it was broken
