Pros
A red light blips. Every 40 secs so you know it is active. Alarm is very loud which you would expect. The alarm has a nice function in that the light dims in dark environments so as not to cause a nuisance in a bedroom.
My son is in the process of renovating a house, prior to moving and these two will be perfectly adequate. Price is okay for a set of two and these should hopefully last.
Meross smoke alarms are well made with a 10 years lithium battery. You get two if theses and they have a 10 year battery life.
It definitely looks the nicest out of all the smoke alarms i have had. The slim design means its not as conspicuous as other alarm.
Cons
Sits flat against the ceiling. Led is not visible until it flashes and it also dims when in a dark room, so good for a bedroom.

The design of the smoke alarms is very minimal and subtle, with the overall smooth design not attracting much dust to any areas.
No ‘smart’ aspect to these alarms and they don’t link with the app which is a real shame.

Competitiveness
With it's 10yrs battery life and a self-testing facility you really just set it up and let it do the work!
I have a lot of meross smart plugs and they are wonderful, so i know and trust the meross brand.
The 10-year battery life means you can install it and then forget about it.
No way to comment on the 10yr battery, but it is not replaceable.

I did think it would have been better with a sticky pad but then realised that the plastic back would not then be able to be turned to lock into place

We live in a village with no shops so have had the old style fire alarms alerting us that their batteries need to be changed by beeping regularly and driving you mad not applicable with this one siren is loud when tested luckily so far i’ve only heard it whilst testing
