    They are not disfiguring they are just getting what looks like melted plastic on the base of the product

    Ive not yet had any plastic wearing out and cracking or the sealing gaskets shrinking or breaking in spite of washing them in a dishwasher on normal cycle

    If this happens to you and you cant get the lid off put the container back in the microwave zap it until the lid pops up pull it out and lift the lid before it sucks back down again
