The inside of the cap is the same plastic and rubber but the outside seems to be real metal not just painted plastic

I hit the brick wall with my soda stream bottles the old plastic caps all started cracking and leaking out of the top at the same time ive thrown six of them away in the last 30 days

I was going to return them because i have the oldstyle glass carafes and these bottle caps do not fit my carafes

However before returning these new metal caps to amazon i called sodastream and found out that the carafes i owned were no longer being manufactured nor were their corresponding bottle caps being manufactured
