I bought one of these im the past and thought it was a cheap piece of garbage because im a big doofus and thought i could leave it in my plant to monitor the soil over the course of the week and it stopped working pretty much right away

The main takeaway was to not leave the meter in the soil for more than a minute or two and then to clean the tip between plants and between intervals of use

I made sure to stick the stick right down the the very bottom of the pot and get middle green
