It works like a water fountain squiting a nice thick squirt about 3 inches high. Seems durable also made of thick pvc. I'm using the taller piece only, that you would mount the fancier pieces to.

Depending on the size of your bird bath beware of using too high of a spray because anything more than a light breeze will empty out your bird bath and make the pump run dry

But its cute used to use it in the bird bath but it splashed the water out too much to keep the water high
