The offon switch is in the top of the solar light under the clear plastic

The sensor seems to work well coming on in the dark and going off in the light

The good thing though is that the batteries can be replaced by unscrewing the light casing

You turn the switch on and there is usually a bit of a charge to check it they light by covering the solar panel
