These do have a pretty strong smell i understand it is the vitamin d which i guess comes from egg so these can have a rather strong egg smell i spoke to solgar and they explained this is normal but would have been happy to exchange if needed i think the egg smell varys from batch to batch due to various sources of vitamin d
