I now fully realise that the clarinet is of good quality and produces very good sound.
Fantastic product my daughter absolutely loves this and has been practicing on it all the time,she is having fun learning.
0 rico reeds, and what a sound!
You need to get good quality reeds, and the thicker they are, the better they will sound!
Price
So at this price, i'd say this was worth it, and i'm pleased to have a new instrument, even if it is not a patch on my old one.
For £100 i’m amazed it plays at all!
You can’t buy anything for £100 anymore so this is quite a surprise.
I would actually say if budget permits get a better mouthpiece.

And it took me ages to find the last few tiny slithers of cork used for packing.
This is a christmas present but it looks a wonderful instrument

The wedges are easy to spot but the tiny slithers are a pain

If yours is the same you’ll need to replace a basic ligature are a few quid

If it’s an xmas pressie check you can tighten the ligature before the big day otherwise get on amazon and order a beer ligature

Bought the student sonata clarinet as an emergancy instrument whilst our wooden buffet is broken with the idea we can use the sonata as a basic instrument for our middle son whose keen to learn but a bit too young

However learning on an instrument which i’m doesn’t give a clear tonation can be frustrating and limiting feeling like it’s you that can’t play rather than the instrument itself
