Pros

Quick and easy setup and installation. Works great for adding into a light fixture that is not a smart fixture. Way cheaper than buying a name brand wifi switch.

Sonoff basic r2 works perfectly with tasmota. Using the updated app makes this flow smoothly. Works great with alexa.

Cons

This one is by far one of the poorest setup procedures i have experienced. Cheap connectors, flimsy construction. Support from itlead is non existent as they can't help you.

All of sonoff devices i have used so far are junk/worthless. Product enters pairing mode but never pairs.

It’s a great product, easy to configure, very versatile.

Needed the smart switch to control some home devices, such as lamps, it was easy to do the wiring and the app just works fine.

The device cover can easily be removed, and the circuit board has clearly labeled holes for the serial connection.

You cannot use it on those digital device that doesn't use a physical traditional on/off button.

I took device out of its case and wrapped with electrical tape, it fit in box then.

Competitiveness

It was very easy to change the firmware in this device to the tasmota firmware.
