Pros

It has a spot to add some pcb header pins that are not included but fairly trivial to solder on. The included remotes continue to work fine, and i am even able to reconfigure so both fans can be controlled together from either remote. I wish the light... Read More

The ifan04 is relatively new (introduced mid-2021). Many of the reviews here are for its predecessor, the ifan03. The size seems standard for fan control modules, fit into both fans i've upgraded, and i had no issues whatsoever installing.

Really easy to work with and customize.

Cons

It got fried after turning the ceiling fan on and off with the wall switch, not even two months after being installed. The capacitors are not powerful enough to make most ceiling fans run at their intended speed. Would not buy again.

It took some time, but it is well worth it.

Packaging/appearance

This box was slightly larger and had 2 antenna, which i ended up taping to the outside of the box.

Competitiveness

Tasmota also made the pairing to wifi much easier.

Both have worked well in home assistant, but the tasmota unit is better.
