Pros

Monitoring looks at wattage, voltage, and amperage. The android app has a kwh power consumption meter which you can start and stop.

Open a terminal emulator and set the baud rate to 115200. Connect the usb to ttl adapter to your computer.

Cons

These things are not even heavy enough to be used for paperweights. I find it very irritating when a single company creates multiple listings for the exact same item. Stay away from this chinese junk.

The ewelink app is required to do pretty much anything with it. The setup isn't that horrible, but you are going to have to use the ewelink app for the initial setup to your network. Turned my 5g off on router and still no luck pairing or connecting.

But cost for me was $7 usd which is very inexpensive for a smart plug that works with home assistant.

I was able to setup the average power rate and now it gives me the total cost within a time period.
