Pros
The switch to zigbee takes care of that problem while simplifying setup. Works with my 3-way hallway light circuit that even has a 4-way switch in the middle. Best to scan the qr code and bring up the online version. Setup is simple with smartthings.
Small enough to fit in round box above light fixture. Easy to install and fit in electrical box. Pairs easily, fits in standard box, works great!
The devices also say they work as a zigbee repeater so you might just install some if you have any problems with zigbees dropping offline. Two minor 1. Nicely made, paired easily / perfectly with hubitat c-7.

Tld: this was the first zigbee device that i've ever attached to my home electrical, and i'm very pleased with it.
I really like the zigbee version of this product.
Not a big problem, but a small complaint that i hope they address with the next version of these.

No custom firmware needed they work right out of the box.

After turning the breaker back on the device went immediately into pairing mode and was picked up quickly by home assistant

I was surprised at how small it was its just that electrical boxes are naturally tight spaces

The response time is much faster than the wifi model otherwise it is identical to the new mini r2

Connectors are too small and it was not possible to attach my light cable to them
