Pros

Easy peezy to configure. Quality seems adequate. When someone climbs over my gate, i flash all the lights in the house as well as sending an alert to my phone via my hubitat home automation system.

This fit in the round box above the fixture without difficulty. It is smaller than i thought it would be and it easily fits inside the electrical box. Great setup, the mini versions are so easy to fit into an outlet box.

The diagram is in the booklet. No problems with loosing power, it reconnects very quickly and reliably. Only problem is that the terminals are just pressure fitted to the pcb. It is only rated for 6 amps so keep that in mind.

Cons

If the switch fails, it fails in a way that generates a ton of heat. These days most routers comes with auto wifi settings and can not discover the device. Wouldn't broadcast a signal let alone connect to the recommend app or third party apps.

Install was easy and it connected to the hub as soon as i powered it up and hit search in the app.

Price

After a long search for exactly this i am very pleased with their price, size and ability.

If you have a neutral at the switch install it there; it's less than half the price of an in-wall switch.

But for the price, i consider it a bargain!

With natural gas prices what they are now, it will probably pay for itself in a week.

I was surprised how quickly philips hue hub found this device.

Packaging/appearance

Fairly snug in a us box so don't try and use if there's much going on in there already.

On my first install inside a wall box, some of the wires were pressed up against the box and it kept going into pairing mode.

Competitiveness

Great product alternative to the high priced ge zigbee switches.

A much cheaper alternative to installing smart 3-way switches at every location in the circuit.

Many other solutions require you to buy a second switch as a slave.

Similar to z wave, zigbee works better the more wired devices you have.
