Sony bravia provides a crisp clear picture, albeit somewhat brighter than samsung of a similar size. Has some glare in sunlight and sound isn't the best but picture is good.
Cons
Buyer beware. Sony bravia kd-55x80k had problems before warranty was out.

Would not work with my external sound system, whether with an arc hdmi or optical cable, though it recognized that something was attached.
Price
Nothing high end here, but perfect for a bachelor on a budget that wants a decent tv for gaming and watching sports.

Sony has never let me downi received it within 48 hours of ordering which was great, thanks amazon and sony.
The tv finally arrived by the alternate carrier, thanks in large part to shaun and jim working to ensure i got my present before christmas.
Ultimately, t-force told simcoe av that i had refused delivery.
In my opinion t-force was unprofessional, being unwilling or unable to provide a location or expected delivery date.
Competitiveness
I detect no visual difference in colour or motion delivered by this tv compared to samsung.

Overall, i would rather have gotten the similar visio model for >25% less, but they no longer sell to canada :-(good picture quality.

Intentionally missing 2 eyebolts necessary to attach to a wall to lessen the risk of a tip over when not wall mounted

You definitely do not want to risk it free standing if you dont mount directly to a wall

I also had to purchase chain links and wall anchors eye hooks directly into the studs plus squeeze into a tiny space between the tv and wall to make the connections nearly impossible
