Autofocus is snappy with any lens. Full hdmi slot, dual sd card slots, etc. Eye detection is the most valuable aspect.

The quality of the body and grip feel fine; i am tending to miss the first gen's material choices as well but i think this will grow on me.

This is the quality picture you’d hope for in photos and even quick commercials.

Unless there's really a compelling reason to switch systems, stick with the one you know.

I used to use a monopod with the a7 because no stabilization meant handshake was a very real issue.

4 stars was not for the camera but amazon warehouse-sensor was dirty and cost $87 to professionally clean.

Competitiveness

I'm a photography enthusiast coming mainly from a canon 5diii, but have a fujifilm xt-4 as well.

Upgrading from the sony a7iii 8bit color to 10bit 4:2:2 color has been incredible.

If you're coming from a a7ii or a7 the upgrade is quite large.

I started with canon 15 years ago and eventually moved up to a canon 5dmark4 then switched to the sony a7iii, and now the sony a7iv.
