Pros

I previously own a sony player that lasted a good 20 years. I am a cd lover and wish they would still keep making components for us people who still remember the old days. The best feature this player has for my use is an auto-shut off timer.

This multi-disk player works perfectly. The ability to shuffle all five disks for playback is good. Usb ports make it compatible with new technology.

Cons

Whoever is in charge of that department needs to get canned. If your like me and you have repaired bd players the most common problem is the laser optics either fail or need to be cleaned. The replacement has several issues.

It shuts itself down after 30 minutes of being on pause or non-use. It goes into standby mode automatically and shuts down several seconds later. Now 6 months later it skips on approximately track 11 on everycd. It's still possible to listen to them, ... Read More

Good quality; i bought this many years ago to replace my previous cd changer, and it's still working great.

Used product; works fine; my old remote works on this replacement unit

Shortly after receiving it and installing it very easily, i ended up being bedridden for over 3 weeks.

This initially played a single disc through but has now failed entirely, skipping around and starting wherever within a performance.

Price

I luckily purchased an "opened box" for $178.

Price: at $550, this is extremely overpriced.

Ebay has several new left for $169.

Shipping

Seller was honest and prompt with delivery.

The cd player was very well packaged and arrived quickly.

There were some serious snafus with the shipping of this item, wrong tracking numbers, mis-deliveries to other states .

I received this player yesterday sooner than expected.

Packaging/appearance

Company offered technical support with purchase and all correspondence in packaging was excellent.

The changer came in a very well wrapped box, plugged it in and works perfectly!

Unpacked the box, plugged it in, and voila!

Unpacked it, it was packed very well, plugged it into the amp, put 5 cds in and turned it up.

Competitiveness

Among my three cd changer candidates, the top model - yamaha - was better than sony.

To be fair, all other audio manufacturers have experienced similar quality declines.

And given that sony products usually outlast the competition, the top notch sound quality should last me a looong time.

Bought it as a replacement for a different brand that died.
