The mic captures very well and at a fairly good distance (6 feet) the stereo mics are a bit of a gimmick if you only have this picking up one speaker wearing it, but they get the job done. Many shotguns are mono.

This is a wired mic with no built-in wireless capability. The microphone title describes this microphone as having bluetooth, and the product details list this device ashaving bluetooth compatibility. Don't get this item.

Regardless, for a sub $50 microphone, it really is quite a good value for excellent sound quality.
This one of the best lav mics you can get for under $100.
I'd gone through and given up 5 or 6 of them, both cheap and expensive.
Again this is a huge deal because it happened to me countless times to forget to turn on mic until half way into video.
Competitiveness
This thing sounds as good or better than what many professionals are using and its an official sony product!
There are so many that are just trash on amazon and ebay that are more expensive than this product.
On my channel paradisbizz i tested the sony against other lavalier microphones, even more expensive ones like the sure or the rode go.
I had changed from canon 5d mark ii to fuji xt-2 and now canon r5.
