Youre pretty safe going with sony you can get cheaper nimh batteries from other brands but you risk getting cheapos that can leak in your equipment

I guess that this is because the monitor is a lowdrain device and batteries seem to behave differently when used in a lowdrain or a highdrain device like flash or digital camera

It is supposed to last about 500 charges so it was either defective or poor battery performance

This probably is manufactured by some other battery maker and labeled as sony but i really didnt care since my other sony wireless headphone still has oem sony battery and that is over two years old
