Picture quality is really good, and transferring your footage to your computer is super easy thanks to the the cam having a hdd.

Its even easy to burn to a dvd with the easy one touch burn button.

The still picture quality is not that great (as indicated by others too).

However, i have to comment on the review that says sony is falsely advertising a 40x zoom.

In this case, 1440 / 36 = 40 so indeed the sony camera has a 40x lens.

Thats pretty cheap for a 40x zoom hdd camcorder from sony.
