Compared with the hd video you can capture with other cameras this is not comparable this shoots in standard definition at 720 x 480 pixels which is good enough for personal use and maybe for projects that you are wanting to look prehighdefinition

That would not be possible with any hd dslr without changing cards stopping every 15 mins and possibly overheating the camera
