Pros
Sony 5 disc changer is not fussy about drm. The paly back quality is first class. The * i own is rather an antique, but also a changer, and it sounds very good.
I read a couple of reviews that cautioned about reliability and i hope i don't have any such issues in the future as i am quite thrilled with it. Changing from one disk to another takes a loading time repeat, but it isn't that long.
For a movie fiend like me, this is the answer to a prayer. I find this quite satisfying and now use it a lot.

The only gripe i have with the machine so far is that the remote is very sensitive when navigating menus. The sony changer allows you to change picture & sound attributes which i could not do on my old unit.
Cons
It appears this product was defective. I suspect this is caused by laser going bad or the chips controlling the laser. I have encountered this problem within 15 minutes of using the unit.
It seems that sony just can't make a dvd player worth owning any more. The quality of this model is not up to the standards sony set in the past. No more sony products for me. Unit is still at warranty center.

Quality is standard sony - no bits 'n pieces to break, display is clear and hook-up was straightforward.
The paly back quality is first class.

At this price you can not go wrong.

This product is working as advertised, and the shipping was surprisingly fast since it came to an fpo box in japan.
Packaging/appearance
I recieved the cd changer on time, the packaging was poor.
Competitiveness
I would definatly recommend for anyone looking for a multi-disc player.
I also like the hdmi upconversion feature.
If you want a 5-disc player look no further than the sony.

The cd changer was not protected very well

The makeshift box was crushed on the corners and when i opened the box found the cd changer not protected on the corners the impacts broke the fastener tabs off the faceplate

Plugged it in and turned it on the face lit up and the tray opened loaded a cd and touched play and the screen showed the play time the photo submitted in the add shows a remote but i did not recieve it

I purchased a sony 5 disk player 6 years ago and its an excellent dvdcd player
