This is the only mic that works with the sony a6500. Attaches and works equally well on my sony ax-100 and sony ax-700 cameras.

Well made, solid feel, tightening ring does the trick.

The built-in stereo mics on the fdr-ax700 are subject to wind noise, no way to add a windscreen to them.
