Cons

Hdmi is only for playback on a tv, not for streaming. Even in the a53 manual it states there is a headphone jack. Latency is a problem because you have to go through two cloud services, play memories and then ustream.

Very disappointed in this purchase. The video quality leaves a lot to be desired. Also the camera's material and build just feels cheap.

Sony issued a service bulletin on this very issue in 2017 yet they have no recall procedure in place to repair seemingly faulty devices. After converting, other editing software affects the quality of the video to be not saving. The warranty for labor... Read More

The stabilizer automatically shuts off when using a tripod or monopod. This results in shaky, unacceptable video footage that is even worse when you zoom. The video is nice when handheld, but that's not an option when filming an hour long game.

There always are some at any price!

Bottom line:for me, there are simply no other choices under $1k.

Thru amazon, using a gift card from them to lower the price on that a little as well.
