Pros
It interfaces without error, on my dell laptop and my 51 sony bravia lcd tv. Coming from a non-hd camcorder to hd the difference is dramatic. Most people are very impressed at the hd movies i have made.

Everything comes out stellar on this camcorder" "it's very compact and portable.
The zoom is excellent. Although you have to get used to zooming in slowly because picture will blur for a second. This camera also does automatic focus on it's own without making the stutter noise or blurring out the picture.
When recording outdoors, this camcorder shines. It reduces the grainy to almost unnoticeable. For outdoors it is absolutly wonderful!
Cons
Pmb software is very slow at importing videos from camcorder to computer. The image quality is unusable. A cheap flip hd with no stabilization at all does a dramatically better job.

Very pleased with supplier and with product.
The quality was pretty darn good for my needs.
Even under low light (indoors), the picture quality is quite good when shot at fx mode.
Don't use the photo because the quality just won't be there.
Price
Purchase on b&h photo, there price is the best.

Packaging/appearance
A usb cable is included in inside the handstrap so that you can quickly play video on your computer or on a tv with a usb input.
I have to move my thumb around it to get to the the stop and start button.
Competitiveness
I may invest in an additinal sd card, but i really don't think it will be necessary for my use.
I have had my cx160 since march and i have mixed results.
I use a 32g sd high speed memory card which gives me over 3 hour 30 minutes of recording time.

If you pair up the camcorder with an portable hard drive you can store weeks of videos before download and process them on a computer
