The performance is not relevant as was not compatible with my tv. Asked for the item to be returned due to technical issues but no collection or contact made since 18th november.

Being from sony, set up and controls are easy(no wi fi app required.
As part of the week of 'celebration of capitalism' i went to listen to a significantly cheaper soundbar & turned this on 'for a laugh'.
Needless to say the ht-a7000 fetches a premium price tag which only goes higher if you buy the optional extras.

In my room with a flat ceiling and walls close by sounds do seem to come from overhead and from the sides

Admittedly before having the surround speakers i thought music sounded a bit odd on the soundbar it seemed really digital and as if something was missing or that certain frequencies in the sound were not balanced

If you connect your devices through the soundbar hdmis the info is displayed on the screen instead which is neat
