Pros

The icd-px470 has a built in usb plug that plugs straight into the computer for easy file transfer. The only thing it doesn't have is a dedicated folder button for quick easy folder targeting. The icd app is very easy to use.

It takes a simple aaa battery and works for hours and hours and doesn't have a charger i'm going to lose. Makes mp3s, it has a built in usb connector, doesn't need an sd card for me to lose (it has a slot for one if like 40 hours of audio isn't enough... Read More

This is what i was looking for. Makes it easier to visually see where the inconsistencies are. It explains the very basic operation instructions such as setting the time and date, how to record, how to delete.

Cons

Record has about a 1 second delay before it begins, even though the red light is on. It picks up a ton of background noise. On playback of a recorded song, the song is broken up into section after only 4 months of use. Microphone built-in is terrible.... Read More

This is unacceptable and a deal-breaker for a digital unit. The power-on switch is a slider switch and it can easily be damaged. It's offensive to accuse your customer of misuse.

To say that this product was disappointing is an understatement. This is very inconvenient and challenging to use. Buyer beware on this product.

It feels squishy and i suspect it is a low quality component, perhaps even designed to fail.

Lastly, i have to go into some detail about the power button because this is what failed on my unit after 9 months of use.
