Pros & Cons
Pros

Recording and playback are both easy to acess. Sony could have offered users the same fine-tuning option for recording levels that it did with its toggle-switch controller for playback volume. The playback volume is fine without headphones and outstan... Read More
Pass-through recording means you can hear what's being recorded by plugging in a set of headphones to the output jack. I only wish it put out a little more power over the mic input so that we could have used the cheaper countryman b3.
The battery lifetime is impressive and rechargeable batteries can be recharged through the usb port. On and off button are a slide. Love the built-in usb direct plug-in (slides out, easy to use).
Highlights
Quality
The sound quality is great and the recorder is easy to use.
Overall, quite satisfied with the product- it has good sound quality & good features at a reasonable price.
(it does not work with the home version of the dragon software).
I had a problem with the design because the 'erase' button is on the other side of the recorder from the 'power' lever.
Competitiveness
I also wish it could record higher than 16-bit 44.
It was new, but with no box and about $60 less the the normal selling price.
