Pros

High energy movie scenes are flawless. Full 1080p on my chromecast, desktop pc, and xbox. The exterior design looks great and it's smart features are great.

Cons

After several hours on the phone and chat with 2 different agents in an attempt to fix, i was told repair service is required. At that point, it is so buggy that it becomes nearly unusable. Sony may/may not provide warranty service.

This tv although advertised as a smart tv really is not very smart at all. It has a good picture and it's lightweight, but the only thing i use a tv for is streaming. This tv is a real disappointment.

The built in netflix app freezes. Not other streaming has an issue on my wifi.

Thirdly, the tv randomly shuts off. Most time the interface just freezes at that point requiring restart. When it does freeze i cannot turn it off via the remote; i have to unplug it!

However, for the foregoing reasons, i will consider other brands when purchasing in the future.

However, i'm starting to see reviews suggesting that sony products are diminishing in quality and/or customer service is not very good.

The picture and sound quality is cool !

Great tv and can't beat the price.

Competitiveness

Great tv but not worth the premium over a samsung.

Seems sony may no longer be the cadillac of televisions and there is certainly a great deal of worthy competitors.

I purchased this tv in august 2016 at a good price to replace a sony that died after 7.
