Pros

More product innovation is always welcome. Absurdly more reasonable, in fact, at a hefty $200 discount on the old model. I have this in our kitchen and dining area and i believe that is the best place to keep it.

Bass is adequate and if this is on your desk you will feel it. At a moderate volume and light output, and with bass boost off, the battery has a claimed 8 hour life.

Cons

It's a gimmick - a cash grab on sony's part.
