Pros
Fiio e10k portable dac is a great headphone for bass lovers. Mids and treble are on par with sennheiser momentum 2. The sound is very balanced with the perfect amount of bass.
Over-the-ear headphones are incredibly comfortable. I can wear them for hours on end comfortably.
The pillowy soft cushion retains its shape in long use.
No creaking or noise of any kind. Soundstage is wide, almost like a mixture of open and closed cans. Nothing sounds muddy or sloppy, rather, the soundstage sounds full.
Detachable cable is nice as well. Good in-line mic.
Cons
Sony v moda m-100 is a great headphone, but it's not comfortable. The wired version is better than the wireless bt version, but the sound isn't nearly the same when you hook up to a cable, compared to when it's on bt. I need to stop watching these clo... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Of course, the quality of other pitches are great too.
It doesn't mean only bass is loud, but the quality of bass is excellent.
I think the sound quality is very immersive.
Tested with dsd files, flac hd, itunes store purchases and various quality mp3s, you hear the quality of your music file.
Competitiveness
Their earpads aren't as soft(this could be where they get some of the extra bass) but they are still very comfortable.
So far, these have been a perfect pair with my new lg v20 and 24bit flac audio.
Their is one flaw (but not worth lowering the star rating given the price point).
While the bass isn't as powerful as ath-pro700mk2s, they're a little more powerful than m50s, but just slightly less tight as them.

I did a lot of research on the cheaper international version and didnt find any differences other than no warranty through sony

No trouble with the international version here ordered in the us and the manual was in english and sound quality is fine

Got them mostly because they fit my ear better than other headphones in this category closed overears and price range

It is probably there so people dont use cheap aftermarket cables and then blame sony for sound quality issues but it causes difficulty because sony doesnt offer longer cables through their website

Even the cables on amazon advertised to work with these headphones dont actually work
