Pros & Cons
Pros
The padded ear cups and adjustable headband ensure a secure and snug fit. The cushions aren't the greatest in durability, but they're comfortable and so far holding out. The only drawback is that they are pretty heavy duty so after about an hour and a... Read More
Sony's mdr7506 headphones deliver a truly immersive and uninterrupted audio experience. This is why your grandparent's pretty cabinet hi-fi console had a bass and treble control. Some users may find the bass response to be slightly lacking, especially... Read More
Sony mdr7506 has impressive specifications and thoughtful design. Package caters to the needs of professionals. Perfect for a desk setup.
Cons
The construction of them is some cheaply made plastic. Even the carrying case has been downgraded to nylon. The stock pads are just horrible. The ones falling completely apart are the new ones from the seller.
It is fishy to me that i can lower the ringing like aura pulling down the gain at the frequency point on the mdr7506 sound profile highest peak,10.
Highlights
Quality
Very good sound quality and work well over hearing aids.
These headphones are very high quality and the sound is amazing.
The sound quality from these when mixing is almost close to noise cancelling.
These are by no means high quality mixing headphones, so i wouldn't recommend them for that.
Price
At 300 bucks i decided to look for phones that i could actually hear the music.
You actually have third tier vendors selling these for $15.
And also because i appreciate things that work well without being egregiously overpriced.
Not top of the line but reasonably-priced and more comfortable that i expected; even while wearing reading glasses.
Shipping
The item was received on time and the sound is on point.
Competitiveness
This is the 3rd set of professional headphones i have bought from sony.
Had an old pair that i threw out after 6 years of use and spent 4 years trying to find a competitor.
Only difference is that this is new compared to all the beat up ones i've used over the years.
These got the same feel as their older similar model.
