Pros
Despite the sony having only 2v preamp outs, it has great sound quality, with no noticeable unwanted noise. The pioneer mvh-s522bs has an easy-to-use interface.
It still registers touch very well. The android auto is smooth and efficient. The touchscreen, on the other hand, is good.
Cons
When using with bt and carplay my calls and music, the head unit freezes and will not reset until i turn it off. There are several 3-star reviews for this deck stating that carplay didn't work. Avoid this deck.

I accidentally blasted myself out of the car on two occasions when i switched sound sources and forgot to cut the volume back down.
Fits like a glove with a relatively cheap double din adapter.

Great unit for the price, love the dso feature on it

This radio claimed to have built in steering wheel control and would have saved me $120.
Although amazon had it for $20 cheaper.

Super fast compared to the samsung j7 prime that i used initially.
The other advantage, is this unit is a lot more powerful then the boss brand that was in the car.
I bought this radio for my 02 silverado to replace the old aftermarket sony.
