This is a great little dap for iem's and low impedance headphones. I use wired headphones most of the time and the sound quality is amazing. Unless you have really high impedance audiophile headphones, this isn't an issue at all.

The sound quality is good, clear and clean.

Sony has been great build quality, sound, battery, etc.

I bought this thinking i would send it back if it didn't noticeably improve audio quality.

It is ugly, poorly implemented and slow as all heck.

Price

One of the best mp3 players for under $400.

For my purposes i feel this little player offers fantastic bang for the buck.

And so began my search for a capable but reasonably priced dap.

I suggest thesandisk 1tb extreme microsdxc uhs-i memory card with adapter, which is about $100.

Competitiveness

What i like best about the sony is the android interface, which is much better than that of the fiio's android.

I did a sided by side comparison using my nw a55 against the a 306 and this is what i found.

I have sony speakers and headphones so i can't say if it will work as seamlessly with other brands.

The one difference i noticed was the nw a55 had a fair amount more power than the n306.
