I decided to purchase the sony pslx250h turntable as an upgrade of sorts since ive never actually owned a turntable before just selfcontained stereo record changers

So if you want to switch the builtin preamp off you have to slip the belt off of the motor pulley and remove the platter

Also the phono plugs that come with this unit are connected permanently to the back of the unit and are way too short

The only thing missing is an on off switch but you can forgive that to the sony guys after you hear your first lp

My only problem with it is that the onboard equalizer something im not a huge fan of is the only way the records are even listenable

Without the equalizer even with my system and audio deck on full volume is still only barely audible
