Pros & Cons
Cons
If you intend to use this camera in tropical or sub-tropical conditions, beware. Sony has a policy of not replacing cameras. This camera is way overpriced for what it does.
This camera can't be relied on to take decent pics. If there's any motion while taking the photo, there's a really good chance that it'll be ruined. If you want an advanced high quality camera very closed to dslr level functionality and quality then g... Read More
It's a slim good looking camera with a large sensor but there are several flaws that couldn't be overlooked. The flaws are quite major, so i had to return it. I am uterally disappointed as it seems that this is a flaw in a handful of these cameras.
Macro focus is super flaky. My phone is better at preventing motion blur than this. No tilt screen.
They're extremely difficult to manage compared with. Yeah, it's okay. Was initially happy. Very unacceptable imo.
Highlights
Quality
The picture quality is great, very detail and sharp.

To me, a nit picker on quality, it left nothing to be desired.
Shipping
5 star camera, shipping speed by seller was ultra fast.
Focus is generally fast, but sometimes has difficulty when within 18 of the subject.
Packaging/appearance
The original sony rx100 was the best compact camera at the time.
Competitiveness
I've always liked sony compact cameras, but now that i have a rx100, im in love!
Pair this version 1 with sony's capture one version 11 software ($75) for stunning results!
Small fraction of the cost of the new model.
Would be nice to have selfie capability.
