Pros & Cons
Pros
This camera is extremely versatile--near dslr quality in a compact and dense form factor (it's a mini-brick, but there's a lot of technology and optical wizardry in there) leaving it on ia for most of the time returns excellent, clear and properly exp... Read More
This is the best 'compact' camera i have ever owned. The camera is a small revolutionary marvel of electronics. Debated whether or not to go with the mkii, mkiii, or mkiv for a while.
The flip out screen feels sturdy enough, and the customizable ring is very smooth and functional. The flash is adjustable, so you can bounce it off a celling if you want! The battery/memory card cover is a little flimsy but not bad.
For my amazement many pictures come out extremely clear and nice. Acceptable but not as good as non-cropped. For me, none of these are dealbreakers.
If you take one or two precautionary steps it will return you with many great photos and video without surprise issues. This is a reasonably priced camera that can produce pro-level images with less hassle. The camera also records high quality video a... Read More
Cons
Screen is cluttered with an excessive amount of icons. Individual icon control is unavailable. The menus are complex and make it hard to remember how to access even basic functions. The camera seems to be in pretty good shape problem is that i can onl... Read More

Price
I never have to worry about anyone trying to steal it since it looks like any inexpensive point and shoot camera.
Finally decided on the mkiii because while the extra features like the improved slowmo capabilities at up to 1000fps, super fas... Read More
In fact, if the mkiv included a touch screen, i would have happily paid the $200 more for a well implemented touch screen.

Shipping
The seller is amazing and the shipping was quick.
Packaging/appearance
I loved the personal touch when opening the box.
I was kind of worry that i did not pack any dslr camera and equipment and i though i will not get any good pictures.
Competitiveness
The sony rx100 series cameras are the best out there an the most popular!
Aside from lens versatility (which isn’t a fair comparison), this camera creates beautiful images that can give those full fram... Read More

I chose the rx100 iii over the other models for a few reasons.
