However, note that using the lens ring in af mode for rack focusing is possible, which i wasn't able to do on the rx100 m1.
Competitiveness
The best pocketable (barley) point and shoot that money can buy.
Plenty of accessories on the market to add to your rx100.
There are a ton of sony rx100 models which seem to be improved with new models every year.
The gx8 was pushing it some over the smaller gx7 but it's manageable.

Auto does not allow center focusing p does not allow flashoff as a preference and micro does not allow center focusing

Some dislikes of the original rx100 was how slow it was to turn on and snap
