Highlights
Quality
The metal shell is lightweight but very sturdy and the lens motors have lasted for years with no issues.
The flip screen and wifi connectivity to your smartphone give you instant high-quality selfies.
The lens, when retracted, is so short that allows the camera to be fit into bags easily, but the performance is no compromise.
The seller for me apart from the build quality and stunning lens on this camera is frankly the automatic shooting mode.
Price
Especially at the new reduced $900 price, i recommend it.
I had high expectations because of the price tag and was let down by its inability to take pictures in low light.
Yes, it is a bit on the expensive side, but you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Competitiveness
These cameras all have very clear electronic viewfinders, much better than the panasonics and leicas, i have both.
It's also quite capable at producing stunning 4k video that rivals much more expensive cameras.
Is that battery life is significantly lower than the m3 (although not too different than the m6.
I returned the canon and kept the sony - it was smaller, lighter, cheaper, and took better photos.
