Price
If sony dropped the power zoom, and brought the price down to £100, this lens would be worth five stars.
Competitiveness
A full frame 24-70mm sony g lens would be much more expensive and much less pocketable.
I have the sony nex5r, a5000 and a6000 and most of the sony e lenses.

The best part about this lens is the fact that it is powered the lens that came with the camera was not

If you can shoot near f8 its reasonably sharp but zoom is not silent and can be heard if there is not much other noise

There are a lot of these lenses about that are separated from the kit and thus come with no manufacturer box or documentation the retailers let you know but its not front and centre

I didt try yet to shoot videos but i had this kind of problem with one other camera

The only thing that is kind of odd is that the lens does not retract immediately after you switch the camera off

While it does make the camera a lot smaller the length is about half of the original lens but slightly wider and lighter it still isnt pocketable
