The sony ps2 is a great console for those who are looking for a cheaper alternative to the 'hd' market. It isn't the most powerful console out there but it is easily good enough for us, and then some.
It comes with 2 silver controllers and a built-in ir receiver. The integrated remote control sensor saves the eyesore of having to have an adaptor in the controller port.
There is such a huge catalogue of games and educational titles for the ps1 and ps2, that can be used on this console. The sound of the machine is noticably quieter which makes a difference at night time when you don't want to wake people up through ha... Read More

The quality of the console is great and it looks good in silver (matches my tv).
I am really impressed with the quality of the games available too.
I’m not sure if the new console will still work with the old official remote.
The graphics can be somtimes a bit of a problem with the ps2 but overall they r ok but when compared with the xbox they fall behind.

Also, amazon stated 4-6 weeeks delivery, which put me off a bit, but it actually came within a week or so of ordering!

All i can say is if u want a cosole with more 90 games then buy a ps2 but if u want to play the best game ever buy an xbox 4 halop
