Pros

Sony has surprisingly wide stereo separation and clean clear delineation between sides. No noticeable distortion at full volume. Maybe a little muddy in the middle but again, that can be adjusted with eq and maybe the app.

Yes it isn't cheap but you won't be disappointed! If you can find this speaker on a good discount i think it's worth it. Recommended with reservations. They are often heavily discounted.

The app has an equalizer to boost sound quality and levels. The 'live' feature makes'some' music sound a bit tinny. I usually toggle the 'live' option on even if that means the extra bass feature is disabled.

Cons

The xb43 is barely audible with any background sound at all. The distortion starts after 70% volume. You have to use the phone app to change sound settings on the speakers.

Really disappointed in sony over this. Will be sending back. Wasted money. Not worth your time.

Definitely not worth the upgrade, more like a downgrade. Ahora entiendo porque sale 100 menos, es nada que ver al original sony.

Not only is the quality of the sound amazing, but when base heavy songs come on, the base doesn't affect the quality of the song at all.

I could buy a smaller and lighter bluetooth speaker with the same sound quality while maintaining portability.

The sound quality is second to none on this speaker.

I purchased it mainly to have music out on my deck so the weight isn't an issue.
