The control panel illuminates for ease of use in the dark. If you need the speaker to be loud you need to use the custom setting and all 3 sliders up to the top.
The quick start leaflet tells you the basics of setting up, and also has the qr code for finding the app. The supporting apps are great, but do have a few strange foibles. Also has the mega bass button.
This party speaker is a total game-changer. It is really powerful and in the meantime the sound is clear. I love the versatility and i highly recommend!
