The 4k quality is really superior to the blu_ray player one, there is no doubt about it. I like vibrant and vivid colors that bring scenes to life. Btw, blade runner 2049 is a must buy.
Highly rated with consumer reports and cnet. Qualité-prix excellent. Only complaint is the casing of the player.
The upgraded picture quality even on my older tv is wonderful. Playing video files from a usb stick yields great quality images as well. It has a few apps and the picture quality is absolutely amazing.
The only little nuisance is that you have to manually turn on/off dolby vision when you're going to watch a 4k movie that supports that format.
Cons
Failure to play region 2 discs defeats the object for which i bought it.

Finally when dolby vision is on, you cannot make any adjustments to picture quality!

So for the price, it is perfect.
So far love it, tho the store near me was selling it for $58 cheaper
(i have a non-3d bluray player that has that and it cost me $90).
It's not that big of a deal to be honest, but it would have been nice if the player automatically detected it.

Ion the side this is a good player but honestly in 2019 you wish they would include the hdmi wires that are recommended for it
