Pros & Cons
Pros
K uhd blu-ray player upscales older dvds to near 4k uhd quality just as it claims. K discs can have flaws and cause a lot of skipping and freezing, not the players fault. The upscaling on this unit is very good when watching standard blu-ray and dvds.... Read More
It seems to support pretty much any video file that i have. It also support subtitle playing if you happen to have that with your video as well which is nice. It plays almost as good as my older samsung m9500. Dolby vision makes a difference and this ... Read More
Menu navagation isnt bad; every thing is pretty clear and easily accesible. It is a infrared remote from what i can tell so you will need to be in line of sight to use it. It runs on two aaa batteries.
Cons
The player glitches. I want a product that works out of the box without *-rigging. Probably going to trash it and buy a panasonic instead.
The noise it makes is not pleasant. It gets quieter during normal playback, but not quiet enough. One frame displays roughly every 15 seconds.

It appears to be junk after 6 months.
This has gotten worse rapidly and the unit is no longer usable.
Price
Finding it on sale for $160 - $180 makes this really hard to beat.
And the price was exceptional for the product.
My one major regret is not springing for a more expensive (approximately twice he price) player that can play other format standards.
Shipping
The delivery was exactly & precisely as promised with quick response follow-up validation.
Packaging/appearance
I was afraid it would be reconditioned or an open box item, but it was brand new, in a box that had never been opened.
Competitiveness
We have a more expensive panasonic device (cost 3x more) and frankly imthres no difference in the video and audio output of both machines.
The fact that lg themselves are no longer making players, might say something about the declining interest in physical media.
Thus, i am more inclined to blame the disc manufacturers than to fault the sony player for being able to read a dirty or flawed disc.
